Tada!

Yes, I am officially smart now. I have glasses. LOL. Don't all smart people have glasses???? I decided I'd better take advantage of free vision insurance while I've got it. Whenever I quit working at the hospital full time I figure I'd regret not using it. Today I had my eyes checked for the second time in my entire life. I was in 3rd grade the last time and I got glasses then. I just didn't where them. Well since I've really gotten into reading these last few months I've noticed that my eyes start to feel tired and hurt after a while of reading or sitting at the computer. And I pretty much constantly squint and I'm getting WRINKLES ! The doctor came in and asked " So are you having vision problems?" I said " Well, I'm not bumping into walls or anything." LOL. So anyway, after a few minutes of is this better , how about this, how about this? Read that bottom line with your left eye........... ( My left eye is the problem. It has astigmatism.) I would be like E....V....7............ that's either a g, c , o, or 8........and the last is either a z, 5, or a 2. haha. I think they need to change the reading cards though. She'd put the card up in front of me and say read the bottom line with your right eye. So I'd read....... E Z G V 5 2. Then she'd say read the bottom line with your left eye. I already know what it says! I just read it with my good eye! So am I reading ' 7 ' or am I just seeing something that looks close to that shape and my brain remembers that I just said that was a 7 two minutes ago and I was correct? ANYWAY...... so I leave with my prescription. Nothing really bad, she said it's just enough to get that strained feeling that I get from reading and looking at the computer. I decided to go to Tupelo EyeMart Express since they do it there and you get it that same day. They were really helpful! And I'd say that is the place to get some glasses if you have to pay out of pocket. You can get them really cheap there if you need really cheap. They pointed me to the more expensive section though since my insurance would kick in, so maybe they're a little better quality. I decided if I was going to have some glasses I would totally embrace the nerdy look....lol. I was planning on getting the rimless ones that you don't notice as much, but then I thought......naaaaaaaaa, let's go naughty teacher instead LOL!!!!! And I need some bling too. So I bought these dark dark berry colored ones with rhinestones on the edges and down the sides.....:o) HaHa......so there ya go. Now I am a sophisticated, naughty, nerd. :o) And I spent 15 dollars on my eye exam and 66 dollars ( tax and all ) on my glasses and that was including some 29 dollar protection package. So insurance rocks.
IT seems like I had more in mind I wanted to say............but after all that my brain is taking a time out.....lol. Maybe it will come to me later...............

LOL, Heather! I do like the glasses, though. They're really cute! I wish we had vision insurance. We have to pay out of pocket for all our eye-related stuff. :(
