I'm awake before 8am! That is really good for me. I didn't go to bed until after 2 pm yesterday so that means I slept about 18 hours. Well I got up for about an hour last night when Lee was watching Jay. So a little less than that. Tuesday morning we had to stay over after work for a 45 minute meeting that was totally stupid. It was about our core measures and outcomes.... ( like starting anticoagulation therapy by day 2 on stroke patients, or starting antibiotics within 6 hours of the time a pneumonia patient walks into the ER doors.) Blah blah blah. Naming all the ace inhibitors, then all the beta blockers...... WE were in teams and played family feud. I was so mad that they took 45 minutes of my sleep away to do something stupid like that. Especially when I had been awake for 22 hours by then. Yesterday morning when I got off work, I had to go to a 2 hour meeting to learn to use some new eqipment we are going to start using. 2 hours!!! And I had a hair appointment at 11am. So I stopped in the caffeteria on the way to the meeting and bought an energy drink. I'd never had one, thought I'd try it. WELL.......they work. I think I'm going to keep a stash. :o) I had a full throttle blue demon flavored. It tasted like a jolly rancher. I never had a sudden total crash either. So now I'm going to become an energy drink junky. :o) Once I went to sleep I was OUT though. Lee's mom and grandma came by.......I never heard them. A neighbor came by and Lee showed her around our house ( it used to be in her family ) and I never heard them. I wish I would have been awake when she was here. Lee found out that our barn used to sit at another home place on another road back before this place was built in the early 50's. They hired a moving company to move it here when they built this house. Interesting. And we have this one cabinet in the kitchen that has a weird strip of wood that goes across the middle of it. She said it used to have a built in flower sifter in it. Aha! the mystery solved. I wonder if she has any pictures of it way back when. I'd like to have some copies.

Sounds like you needed your sleep! That is really cool to learn about the history of her house. Maybe she has some pictures. About energy drinks...I don't have them often, but we get them on road trips sometimes. I laughed when you said the one you had tasted like a Jolly Rancher b/c Brandon & I both think Red Bull tastes like sweet tarts. Mmm!
