Fairwell to ER

Well, I'm sad now. I just watched the last ER episode. I hate that it's gone now. There were quite a few years I quit watching, but it has been really good this last season or 2. I kept thinking they were going to change their mind and go for another season. Wishfull thinking. I liked how the show got into the feelings of medical workers. Their frustrations and exhaustion. Ya, they weren't completely realistic with the medical stuff- like tonight the perfectly clean newborn And Dr Carter started a 16 gauge I.V on someone. OMG....that would be like having a straw in your arm almost. He stated that it was so they could use it to give blood..........wrong you only need a 20 to give blood through....lol. OR they always use the longer more complicated sounding name for the drugs....like instead of saying xanax, they'd yell out alprazolam . 5 mg! OR They'd go from one trauma room with bloody gloves into the next one without changing gloves. But I think they really captured the way it feels, the frustration. What it's like to stand there and watch a husband holding his wife who he has been with for 70 years as she dies. I could really relate. Now I just have House to "relate to ". House is way more accurate when it comes to the medical stuff, but not so much in the professional side. But again, there's really not alot of patient care on House either.
Anyway, too bad...... I think they ended it really well though.

I think I'm the only person in the world who has never watched a single episode of ER. I hate when good shows end though!

I used to watch it all the time. But I quit several years ago. I wanted to watch the last episode at least but I went to sleep last night at 6:45 and didn't get back up. Oh well, I'm sure they will play the season over and over on USA or one of the dish channels.

well It started at 7:00 So 6:45 was cutting it alittle too close! haha. We went to town to go to walmart but we went to pickle barrel first when gary said, Your little show ends tonight. Then the storm was comming so we picked up our stuff and went to grandmas because walmart isn't the best place to be in a storm.by the time that was all over walmart was out of power and Er was half over so we went to moms and I gave gary a haircut. came home showered got in bed just in time to see the last scene zooming out from the hospital :( missed the whole thing!!!!

YA, it was good.......it worked out perfect that we had no meeting last night or I would have missed a bunch of it. I'm interested to hear how many people viewed it.
