Well, yesterday was pretty uneventful. We had done an anniversary thing at mom's the night before and we really didn't want to go out and spend any more money. So it was pretty much an ordinary day. Lee went with Eric, his brother, to get a truck in Macon and I went grocery shopping. Then I headed to Pontotoc to pick him up at Eric's house. We ate supper with Eric and Amanda and the kids. Grilled chops. We headed back home, but we had a little more excitment on the way.........it was rainy and dark. About 10 minutes out of Pontotoc we were driving along a steep drop off of woods.........the weird thing was there were lights shining down there. Lee was like uhhhhhhh what was that? I said LIGHTS. And he said......I think that was a car! Of course I'm playing it down because I am not in the mood to be out in the rain climbing a hill....... I was like.....well maybe there's a driveway down there or maybe it was a 4 wheeler. So we turned back around and did another drive-by. By then another person is stopping on the side of the road too and yes it is a truck way down there. We had to park about 100 yards past there because there was no where to pull over. So we had to walk all the way back. Lee called 911 and by then the other on looker was helping the guy out of the truck and up the hill. I'm amazed at how unphased the guy was. We stand there a minute or so trying to figure out WHERE the man went off the road. and he starts stumbling back down the hill and Lee caught him. Now it's becoming clear........he's super drunk. Cars are driving by and we're standing on about a 12 inch edge on the side of the road. So I said " let's get him over on the otherside of the road where there's not a cliff for him to fall down.......and get him away from the ROAD." SO we sat him in the other guys passenger seat of his truck. He proceeds to pull out a cigarette and smoke. LOL. Drunk Drunk Drunk. He had no idea what he did. Idiot.....should have left him down there in his truck. Some Off duty Ems dude showed up that lived there close and we all left. I hope he sits in Jail for a while. Some trooper showed up just as we were walking back to our cars.....only then did the surrounding neighbors look out there front doors to see what was going on. I can't believe they didn't hear him slamming into all of the trees on the way down. His truck was definatly totalled. SO that was our entertainment for the evening. We were pretty soaked when we got back in the car and headed home.

This picture is Eric's little boy, Drew. Everyone says he looks exactly like Lee as a child. :o) So cute. He got hit in the lip with a block that day so his lip is scabbed up a bit.

Oh my God! I would have been freaked out. Good thing he didn't hit anyone else.
